Part Time/ 7 Month Contracts - Competitive hourly rates dependant on Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications

ISA level 1 qualification or equivalent

A recognised and valid beach lifeguard/Surf Coach Safety award

Clean DBS check will need to be provided as part of safeguarding requirements

Skills and Attributes

Previous coaching experience essential

An ability to work under pressure, with a drive and determination to achieve the best – a can do attitude.

Great people skills, with an ability to motivate and inspire fellow team members and customers.

Excellent organisational and time-management skills.

A strong desire to get people active and to engage with surfing

Good attention to detail, especially with regards to health and safety, with an ability to spot trends and errors

A proactive and ambitious mindset, with a desire to ‘muck-in’!

A passion for sustainability, health and wellbeing and the natural world

A second language is desirable but not essential

Surf Coach Roles and Responsibilities

Enthusiatic fun delivery of coaching sessions following our coaching programme criteria and monitoring of each surfers progress.

Maintain a professional appearance and persona in line with the G brand values at all times.

A creative and curious coaching approach ensuring each session is matched to the surfers needs

Punctual and prepared for every sesssion

Daily checks of surf and safety equipment

Keeping updated with the latest surf news and being knowledgeable on surf theory

Meeting customers and preparing boards for lessons to ensure excellent time management and customer experience

Complete accident/ injury forms when necessary and report to beach manager

Complete coaching notes and check off lesson as completed in the booking system

Attend any training and weekly meetings
